Sizing & Fit

How do I choose the right press-on nail size?

Each Jollè set includes 32 nails in 16 sizes to help you find the best fit for each nail. Everyone’s nails are different, and even your left and right hand may not need exactly the same sizes.

Each nail has a small number on the inside. This number shows the size and makes it easier to compare options.

Hold the press-on over your natural nail. It should sit neatly on your nail bed and should not touch your skin, sidewalls, or cuticle.

If you are between two sizes, choose the slightly smaller one. Jollè nails have slightly flexible sides, so they can gently mould to your natural nail when pressed down with glue.

A nail that is too large is more likely to lift early, feel uncomfortable, or look less natural.

Why are there 32 nails in each Jollè set?

Each Jollè set includes 32 nails in 16 sizes because every nail is different.

This gives you more size options so you can match each press-on to each natural nail more accurately. A better fit helps your manicure look more seamless, feel more comfortable, and last longer.

What do the numbers inside the nails mean?

Each Jollè nail has a size number printed on the inside, so you can easily identify and compare sizes as you match them to your natural nails.

Sizes run from 0 to 15. Size 0 is the largest, and the higher the number, the smaller the nail.

Most sizes follow a standard width scale, while size 15 is a special extra size designed for nail plates that are narrower but have a longer nail bed.

If a nail fits your width but looks too short for your nail bed, size 15 may be your perfect fit.

Which side of the press-on nail goes near the cuticle?

The thinner, more natural-looking curved edge sits near your cuticle.

The slightly thicker, stronger edge is the tip of the nail.

What should I do if I am between two press-on nail sizes?

Choose the slightly smaller size.

A tiny bit of natural nail showing at the side is better than choosing a nail that is too wide. A nail that is too large can touch the skin, lift early, and let moisture underneath.

Jollè nails have slightly flexible sides, so they can gently mould to your natural nail when pressed down with glue.

Why does the press-on look slightly narrow before I apply it?

Jollè nails are designed with strong tips and slightly flexible sides.

When you press the nail down with glue, the sides can gently mould to your natural nail. This means a nail that looks very slightly narrow before application may sit beautifully once applied.

A nail that is too large is usually the bigger issue, as it can touch the skin and lift early.

Are Jollè nails suitable for flat, wide or short nail beds?

Yes. Jollè nails have slight flexibility at the sides, which helps them sit more comfortably on different nail shapes when applied properly.

If your nail beds are very flat, wide, or short, take extra time with sizing. The right fit matters most.

For these nail types, the jelly tabs and glue combination method can work especially well. The jelly tab helps cushion and fill small gaps, while the glue gives a stronger hold and helps the press-on sit securely.

Comfort Fit Collection may also be the best option for these nail types, as it was designed with wider, shorter, flatter, or less curved nail beds in mind.

Oval, or Square may be more forgiving than Almond. Almond has a more tapered shape, so it can be less suitable if your nail beds are very wide, very flat, or if you need more side-to-side coverage.

Nail Prep

How do I prep my nails before applying press-ons?

Start with clean, dry nails.

Wash your hands, gently push back your cuticles, lightly buff the surface of your natural nails, and clean each nail with the cleaning pad.

Your nails should be free from oil, hand cream, polish residue, dust, and old glue before application.

Do I need to buff my nails before applying press-ons?

Yes, but only lightly.

Buffing removes shine from the natural nail and helps the glue or jelly tab grip better. You are not filing your nail down. The surface should look slightly matte, not damaged.

If your nails are thin or sensitive, be extra gentle.

Do I need to push back my cuticles?

Yes, gently.

You do not need to cut your cuticles. Simply push them back with the cuticle stick to clear the nail plate.

Sometimes a thin layer of cuticle sits on the nail plate, even if it is not obvious. Gently pushing back your cuticles helps create a cleaner surface for the glue or jelly tab to bond to.

Can I apply Jollè nails over nail polish, BIAB, or leftover product?

For best hold, apply Jollè nails to clean, bare natural nails.

Polish, oils, or residue can stop the glue or jelly tabs from bonding properly.

Application

How do I apply Jollè press-on nails?

For the best result, start by choosing the correct size for each nail. Then prep your natural nails by washing your hands, gently pushing back your cuticles, lightly buffing the nail surface, and cleaning each nail with the cleaning pad.

Once your nails are clean and dry, apply your Jollè nails with nail glue, jelly tabs, or a combination of both. Place each press-on close to the cuticle without touching the skin, then press firmly.

For the full step-by-step instructions, read our Jollè Application Guide.

What is the difference between nail glue and jelly tabs?

Nail glue gives the strongest hold and longest wear. It is best if you want your press-on nails to last up to two weeks.

Jelly tabs are best for short-term wear, such as events, weekends, or a few days. They are easier to remove and best if you want more flexibility. It's also the best application method if you want to reuse the nails.

You can also combine jelly tabs and glue for strong hold with slightly easier removal than glue alone.

Which application method should I choose?

You can apply your Jollè nails with nail glue, jelly tabs, or a combination of both. The best method depends on how long you want to wear them and how easy you want removal to be.

Choose nail glue if you want the strongest hold.
This is the best option for everyday wear and the longest-lasting result. With proper application, Jollè nails can last up to two weeks with glue.

Choose jelly tabs if you want short-term wear.
Jelly tabs are ideal for a weekend, an event, a holiday, or whenever you want easier removal. They usually do not last as long as glue, but they are the simplest option if you want flexibility.

Choose jelly tabs with glue if you want strong hold with easier removal.
This method can work especially well if your natural nails are thin, sensitive, very flat, or if you want a little extra cushioning between your natural nail and the press-on. The jelly tab helps fill small gaps, while the glue gives a stronger hold.

As a general rule:
Glue = longest wear
Jelly tabs = easiest removal
Jelly tabs + glue = strong hold with a little more flexibility

How much nail glue should I use?

Use a thin layer of glue on your natural nail and a thin layer inside the press-on.

Too much glue can spill out around the sides. Too little glue can create air pockets, which may cause lifting.

How do I apply press-on nails with nail glue?

Make sure your natural nail is clean, dry, and fully prepped.

Apply a thin layer of glue to your natural nail, then apply a thin layer inside the press-on. Line the nail up close to your cuticle without touching the skin.

Place it at a slight angle, lower it down, and press firmly.

Press the centre and both sides for at least 20 seconds. For the strongest hold, press for up to 60 seconds.

How do I apply press-on nails with jelly tabs?

Choose a jelly tab that fits your natural nail.

The tab should sit on the nail only and should not touch your skin or cuticle. If you are between sizes, choose the slightly smaller tab.

You can also carefully trim the jelly tab with scissors for a better fit.

Apply the tab to your natural nail, press it down firmly, and smooth out any air bubbles. Peel off the top film, place the press-on close to the cuticle, and press firmly for at least 30 to 60 seconds.

Can I trim jelly adhesive tabs?

Yes. If a jelly tab is slightly too wide, you can carefully trim it with scissors before removing the top film.

Make sure the tab does not touch your skin or cuticle.

How do I apply press-on nails with jelly tabs and glue together?

Apply the jelly tab to your natural nail first. Press it down firmly and smooth out any air bubbles, then peel off the top film.

Apply a thin layer of glue on top of the jelly tab. If there are small exposed areas of your natural nail around the tab, you can apply a little glue there too.

Place the press-on close to your cuticle without touching the skin, lower it down, and press firmly for at least 30 to 60 seconds.

How long should I press each nail after applying?

Press each nail firmly for at least 30 seconds.

For the strongest hold, press for up to 60 seconds.

With jelly tabs, this is especially important. The better you press, the better they hold.

Can I use my own nail glue?

Yes, you can use your own nail glue if you prefer.

For best results, use a glue designed for press-on nails and follow the same application steps: clean, dry, lightly buffed nails, correct sizing, and firm pressure.

Wear Time & Aftercare

How long do Jollè nails last?

Wear time depends on the application method and your lifestyle.

  • Adhesive tabs: Typically last 5-7 days, making them ideal for weekends, events.
  • Nail glue: Can last up to 14 days with proper application and care.
  • Nail Glue + Adhesive tabs: Can last up to 14 days and make removal easier.

For the best results, make sure to prepare your nails thoroughly and follow the application instructions carefully.

Will press on nails damage my natural nails?

No. When applied and removed correctly, Jollè nails should not damage your natural nails.

Press-on nails are one of the gentlest manicure methods available. Unlike many salon treatments, they don't require extensive filing of the natural nail or soaking in acetone for removal.

If your natural nails are thin, fragile or damaged, we recommend using adhesive tabs instead of just nail glue, or the glue + tabs combination until your nails have recovered. Adhesive tabs provide a gentler hold and make removal even easier, giving your natural nails the opportunity to grow out and recover while still enjoying a beautiful manicure.

The most important factor is proper removal. Never pull or force the nails off. Instead, gently loosen the adhesive by soaking your nails in warm, soapy water with a little oil, then lift them slowly using the included cuticle stick.

For healthy nails, we also recommend removing your press-ons after 14 days and reapply a fresh set.

If you notice any lifting before then, remove and reapply the nail rather than trying to glue it back while it's partially detached.

Can I shower, wash my hands or swim?

Yes. Once fully bonded, Jollè nails are water-resistant and suitable for everyday activities, including showering and swimming.

For the strongest bond, avoid getting your hands wet for the first 1–2 hours after application.

Removal

How do I remove Jollè Press On Nails?

Never pull or force the nails off.

To remove Press On Nails safely:

  1. Soak your nails in warm, soapy water with a little oil for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Gently lift the edge of the press-on using the included cuticle stick.
  3. If you feel resistance, soak for a few more minutes and try again.
  4. Once removed, gently clean away any remaining adhesive.

Taking your time during removal helps protect your natural nails and keeps your press-ons in good condition for future use.
